Personal data

Stephan Wecke was born on November 7, 1962 in Bückeburg where, in 1983, he did his A-levels (Abitur) at the Gymnasium Adolfinum.

In the course of his subsequent military service on board of the sail training vessel Gorch Fock, he travelled to England, Spain, Antigua, Puerto Rico, USA, Canada, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.

In 1984 he began his law studies at the University of Bielefeld. In the course of this legal education he did an internship with a bank in 1986 and worked for the German-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Porto Alegre/Brazil in 1990. In 1991 he took the Second State Examination and, in the same year, was admitted to practice as a lawyer. In 1993 he obtained the additional qualification of Certified Specialist in labor law. Due to his long-standing experience in building and architectural law, in 2005, Wecke also obtained the newly created additional qualification of Certified Specialist in building and architectural law.

Practice focus

Wecke is a member of the Working Groups for Certified Specialists in labor law and the Working Group for Certified Specialists in building and architectural law. Wecke is an author of specialist literature for the publisher Campus Verlag Frankfurt/New York.

Wecke not only represents our clients in all types of labor law disputes but also regularly assists companies with the sale of businesses and restructuring processes. Besides, Wecke practices in the field of building and architectural law and advises companies and sales organizations on all aspects of sales and commercial law and the law on commercial agents.

Wecke puts particular emphasis on advising his clients at an early stage and thus avoid litigation as well as on the on-going support of his clients with their entrepreneurial decisions.
